THURSDAY 1 APRIL 2021
POLEWORK As we all know, Polework is for everyone. Dressage riders, showjumpers, Eventers. When done regularly, polework can increase your horse’s strength and flexibility, improve their ability to engage the hindquarters, and make their paces more expressive and cadenced. The session will involve a number of exercises over a variety of shapes and distances in the outdoor arena (indoor if wet). Great fun for both rider and horse. THURSDAY 8 APRIL 2021 GRID JUMPING We all love a grid! To be run in the outdoor arena, Tamsin will build a run of progressive, simple show jumps to encourage rhythm and shape for your horse and position and style for you as you work through the grid. Heights to suit each rider, just let us know when you book THURSDAY 15 APRIL 2021 RIDDEN LUNGE SESSION or LUNGEING TECHNIQUES Shades of all those riding school lessons in our pasts, ridden lungeing is still relevant today. It can help to improve your seat and with targeted exercises, work on your balance, strength and feel. You and your horse will warm up off the lunge and then, when ready, Tamsin will work with you both on the lunge. Be warned, it may be no stirrups! NB : We ask that your horse is a reliable lunger for a ridden session. Alternatively, Tamsin can work with you and horse on your lungeing technique. She will advise on equipment, safety and how to get the best from your session for both exercise and training to feed onto ridden work. Held in her indoor arena so no weather worries! Please bring any equipment you normally use (lunge line, roller, boots, gloves etc) plus bridle and saddle. Hats must be worn together with suitable footwear. Tamsin will also have some additional equipment to try should it be appropriate for your horse. THURSDAY 22 APRIL 2021 JUMP A COURSE Tamsin will have a full course of show jumps built in the outdoor arena. Uprights, combinations, spreads, etc all ready to go! Perfect for a return to jumping after lockdown. Height to suit you and your horse, just let us know what that is when booking in. SUNDAY 25 APRIL 2021 TECHNICAL LINES AND XC TECHNIQUES Train over show jumps built to replicate cross country obstacles and technical combinations in the outdoor arena at Radnage House Stables. Tamsin will help you find the correct line, how to approach skinnies and be speed perfect through combinations requiring control. Please let us know what height you’d like to jump when booking in. SATURDAY 1 MAY 2021 CROSS COUNTRY TRAINING AT ROSEHILL EQUESTRIAN, HENLEY. Rosehill has jumps to suit all levels of rider and horse experience from 60cm to 1m.
